Cornwall has its very own Murray Brothers, not in Tennis but in Athletics!
Meet Isaac and Logan Murray, two of our amazing GLL Sport Foundation athletes!
Logan has received a Talent Award, and Isaac with a Training Award from the Foundation.
Thanks to the support from the Foundation, both brothers have been selected through the 'Find Your Greatness' Olympic Pathway for talented athletes!
The brothers attended trials in Birmingham after doing well at some specifically designed physical tests.
In Birmingham, for the Regional Assessments, they competed against other athletes from across the UK in many events and assessments they had never experienced before in a gruelling all-day event.
Out of the 700 athletes who competed in various venues back in December, Logan and Isaac have had their scores analysed by UK Sport and Coaches.
Logan has been selected for the next stage of the Olympic Trials in Shooting and Isaac has been selected for the next stage in Rowing and Skeleton!
Not only have they achieved this selection, but the brothers have also had a very successfull competitive 2024 in their sport of athletics.
Logan's athletics achievements winning many National Titles, representing England and Team Atlanta in the UK School Games and being selected for both the Youth Talent Programme and Para Academy by England Athletics.
Isaac has also done exceptionally well too, winning the U23 Mens Irish National Championships in Discus! Isaac is also being considered for the Ireland Dodgeball Team at the European Championships in June!
